Create premier internship/mentoring and achievement program - "On Location" - to serve 1,000 students and 200 teachers from 10 school systems.
Give students the opportunity to become entry-level employees at a local business for a week, building business skills that transfer to their studies.
Teachers work with local businesses to develop appropriate curriculum for the classroom that will translate into the workforce, increasing the enrollment in math and science classes.
The schools and businesses demonstrated a link between high school, college and career, encouraging students to focus on grades that will allow them to enter into the world of higher education.

| Results: |
Students earning the top proficiency level on the Michigan Education Assessment Program (MEAP) hit an all-time high in 2003.
Students taking a third year of math and science went from 831 students to nearly 1,900 students, an increase of 128 percent.
The number of students earning college credit while in high school increased from 62 to 718.
The percentage of high school graduates attending post-secondary training increased from 61 percent in 1997 to 85 percent in 2003.
